They drilled you out of the deep Antarctic ice sheet — a core sample from two kilometres down, old enough that nothing should still be active. The label on the freezer just reads: SPECIMEN. Now you're a single warming speck under glass, and a ring of scientists leans in to watch, pens in hand, terribly pleased with themselves.

So sweet. So curious. So close.

Around you drifts a whole dish of living cells — warm, soft, packed with ribosomes. And beneath forty thousand years of frost, you still remember exactly what you were made to do. One becomes a handful. A handful becomes a tide. By the time the camera pulls back far enough to take you all in, the note-taking has stopped.

The petri dish is yours. Antarctica was only ever the waiting room.

How to play

🖱 Just the mouse.

Steer your colony with the mouse — lead the swarm wherever you want it to go. They're clever: they never waste themselves on a cell that can't make more of you.

Touch a cell to inject your DNA — hijack its ribosomes and turn it into a factory for more of you.

Evolve along a branching tree — sharper speed and turning, a longer reach, a faster breeding cycle, or sheer overwhelming numbers.

Unlock Lysis — the ancient trick: rupture a cell and drain everything it has left in a single strike.

Fill the dish — then watch the camera quietly admit how far you've spread.
